1. Untuk menyatakan tingkat yang sama antara benda yang satu dengan yang lainya atau sama. Kita menggunakn “as.........as........”
Contoh :a. Aulia is as beatiful as Tina = Aulai sama cantiknya dengan Tina.
b. Lutfi is as big as bagas =Lutfi sama besarnya dengan bagas.
c. Fareel is as fat as Mahardika = Farrell sama gendutnya dengan
Mahardika.
2.Untuk menyatakan tingkat perbandingan yang mempunyai tingkat perbedaan dan hanya membandingkan 2 benda atau 2 orang saja atau lebih.( More.. than)
Contoh : I. Yang terdiri dari satu suku kata (.........er than.......)
a. Atika is fatter than Melati = Atika lebih gendut dibandingkan Melati.

3.Untuk menyatakan tingkat perbandingn yang mempunyai tingkat perbandingan yang berbeda dan membandingkan lebih dari dua yang dibandingkan.atau paling.( the most........among)
